What we close on the truck.

Condenser coil clogged with salt film and grease. On a Horizon Elite or Horizon 700 the condenser coil sits behind a thin louvered panel, and in a coastal town like Millbrae it picks up salt film on top of the usual kitchen grease. Once the fins are packed, the coil can't reject heat the way it's built to, so head pressure and amp draw climb a little more every cycle. The compressor keeps pushing against that load, and the run capacitor is usually the first part to give out since it's the weakest link electrically in that circuit.
Water inlet or drain path partially blocked. A cafe running a Horizon unit nonstop through the BART lunch rush builds scale in the fill valve and drain line faster than a machine that cycles occasionally. The unit doesn't shut down, it throws a low production fault instead, so staff often keep running it for days thinking it's just having a slow batch before anyone calls.
Auger motor and gearbox wear. On machines that have been in service five to seven years without the gearbox oil ever getting checked, I find the auger turning but barely cutting ice, sometimes just slush. The motor still runs, the water still fills, but the flight inside the auger has worn down or the gear train has enough slack that it can't push pellets up to the bin anymore.
