Vallejo tap water comes from Lake Berryessa and the State Water Project, treated at the Fleming Hill plant, and it is hard. Inside a Breville that shows up as scale. The BES920 Dual Boiler and the Oracle heat water in two small boilers every day, and what the water leaves behind settles on the elements, in the solenoid valves and in the narrow lines between them.

We collect the machine at your door, from a Victorian downtown to a 1990s house in Glen Cove or a home in Hiddenbrooke, and take it to our bench. There we run it, measure flow and brew temperature, and open the case before anything is replaced. You get a written quote first, and the machine comes back tested.

What we repair on the bench.

Slow heat-up and a trickling shot on the Dual Boiler. Scale narrows the brew boiler outlet and the solenoid valve, so the pump strains and the shot drips instead of flowing. We flush the brew circuit with descaler, open the solenoid if flow stays low, and replace any part that stays blocked. Then we time the heat-up and check group temperature with a probe.
Steam boiler that builds pressure slowly. Minerals collect fastest where water boils hardest, and in these machines that is the steam boiler. The element coats over, heat moves into the water more slowly, and the wand gives weak, wet steam. We descale the steam side, test the element and its thermal cutout, and replace the element only if its resistance is out of range.
Water under the drip tray after a shot. A leak under a Breville usually starts at a hose fitting, a split drain line or a hardened group gasket. We run the machine with the covers off to find the wet spot, then replace the gasket or line that is actually leaking, not the whole set.
