Low pressure and thin shots on the Dual Boiler. The Breville Dual Boiler runs a vibration pump behind an OPV that can drift or clog with scale. When pressure falls, I run a blind-basket test, read the group gauge, and check the pump and OPV under load. Sometimes it is a tired pump, sometimes just an OPV that needs cleaning and resetting to nine bar. I confirm which before quoting parts.
Pump loud, buzzing, or not priming. A pump that rattles or fails to draw water in Moraga is often scaled or air-locked, common where the water is hard. I check the inlet path, the pump mounts, and the check valve, and I flush the line before deciding the pump itself is done.
