Dual-fuel means a gas cooktop over an electric convection oven, and the two halves fail differently. On top, the trouble is electrodes and the spark module. Below, it is the oven control board, the convection fan relay and the heating elements. Our technician tests each circuit on its own. You pay a $99 diagnostic, credited toward the repair, and nothing gets replaced until you have signed off on the written price.

- Convection fan that keeps turning after the oven is off. A relay on the oven control can weld itself shut, leaving the convection fan spinning long after the cycle has ended. We find out whether the relay, the board or the fan circuit is at fault, then replace the smallest part that solves it.
- Electric oven heating on one side or not at all. When the bake or convection element burns through, the oven heats from one direction only or stalls well below the setting. We meter the elements and the relays that feed them, since a failed relay can look exactly like a dead element.
- Flame burning on one side of the burner ring. A cap sitting a little off its base after cleaning gives a lopsided flame and a clicking electrode. We reseat and inspect the cap and burner head, clear the ports, and check the electrode gap on that burner.
