- Dryer dead when you press start. A dryer that stays silent usually has a failed door switch, a blown thermal fuse or a drive motor that has quit. On dryers built on the Whirlpool platform the thermal fuse sits in the motor circuit, so a dead dryer can still be an airflow problem. We meter each part in order and find the cause before replacing anything.
- Washer stopping mid-cycle with a drain error. A kinked drain hose behind a washer pushed back against the wall, a clogged pump or a standpipe set too high will all stop the cycle.
