Trace the leak before choosing a part

On a Thermador Sapphire dishwasher, we reproduce a leak when it is safe and trace where the water starts before choosing a part. A stored fault is one input, not the diagnosis.

A drying complaint needs a cycle and temperature check. Drain and wash complaints begin at the filter and water path, then move to the pump and its electrical supply. We use the machine’s fault history as a lead, not as the final diagnosis.

On the first visit, we record the model and serial, inspect the supply and drain connections, review stored faults, and reproduce the problem when it is safe. We measure the system the code points toward and check the panel-ready installation when door movement is involved. A machine that will not start gets a door-safety and power check before the control board enters the conversation.

What it costs to find the fault

The diagnostic is $99 per visit and includes additional appliances checked during that visit. It is credited toward an approved repair. We write down the tested Sapphire fault and the repair price before starting work.

If water is visible outside the unit, stop running cycles and close the dishwasher supply valve if it is safe to reach. Drying the base pan without finding the leak can hide the symptom briefly while leaving the cause in place.
