A DishDrawer is two small machines, not one tall one

On a double DishDrawer, each drawer has its own wash system and lid action. An F1 fault can follow water in the base tray, while a drawer that will not lock can point to the lid actuator. We inspect the seal and lid movement together because replacing a motor without checking the compressed seal can leave the original leak in place.

A drawer that drains but does not spray needs a wash-system check. Wet dishes can come from rinse-aid, fan, or flap conditions rather than a heater. We run the stored fault and test cycle before choosing a part.

We treat the upper and lower drawers as separate systems during diagnosis. The first visit records which drawer faults, whether the lid lowers evenly, where moisture appears, and whether the drain and wash functions complete. We also check that racks and tall dishes are not interfering with lid closure. That prevents a symptom in one drawer from turning into an unnecessary parts order for the other.

Diagnosis is $99 per visit and includes additional appliances checked during that visit. The fee is credited toward an approved repair. You get the result and repair price in writing before parts are ordered.

If an F1 fault returns after the base area dries, stop repeating cycles. Continued operation can add water to the cabinet. Leave the drawer closed and note which drawer was running when the fault appeared.
