Down near the Caltrain corridor and the biotech campuses, the newer condo and loft buildings that went up alongside the Genentech-area expansion tend to spec smaller Wolf setups, warming drawers and induction cooktops more than full ranges, because that's what fits the kitchen footprint.

- Warming drawer element and thermostat. Common in the newer downtown condo kitchens where a warming drawer sits under a smaller range. No heat, or it runs hot. I test the element and thermostat separately before replacing either.
- Induction cooktop generator board. Fault code and intermittent power on the newer builds near the biotech campuses. Board gets tested first.
