Up in the Belmont Hills and around Water Dog Lake the newer hillside rebuilds run bigger, 48 inch ranges with a matching M Series wall oven stacked next to it.
The ranch remodels give us more igniter and gasket calls because those ranges are older and get used hard. The hillside builds lean toward induction cooktops paired with a wall oven, so the calls there are more board and control related. We work Belmont on our regular Peninsula route rather than a special trip out from San Ramon.

- Stacked wall oven door starts to sag. On stacked wall oven setups the door starts to sag and the gasket stops sealing on one side, so heat leaks and bake times drift. The fix is a hinge cartridge and a fresh gasket, not a new door.
- Induction zone drops out under load. Hillside kitchens with induction cooktops throw an element fault code or lose power to one zone. The generator board underneath the glass is the usual cause and we bench test it before we order.
