Williams in San Ramon

Williams heating and cooling in San Ramon.

San Ramon is where ADRIUM is based, so this is home turf for us. Most of San Ramon is newer central-air housing, but the older homes around Twin Creeks and the early developments, plus the many ADUs and granny units going in, still use single wall furnaces where ductwork does not fit. We service Williams units throughout the city.

San Ramon sits inland in the Tri-Valley with hot summers and genuinely cold winter mornings, so a wall furnace here works hard in the cold months. That load wears the pilot, thermocouple, and gas valve, and being based here I can get to a no-heat call fast and often fix it the same visit.

For the ADU and garage conversions that are common in San Ramon, a wall furnace is frequently the cleanest heat where there is no room for ducts. We install the correct Williams model sized to the space and verify the gas line and venting are right.

Common repairs we do

What we close on the truck.

  • Pilot dropout on cold mornings. San Ramon's cold inland mornings push the furnace hard, and a worn thermocouple finally fails so the pilot will not hold the gas valve open. I clean the pilot orifice, test the thermocouple millivolt output, and replace it so the unit fires reliably on a full cold-morning cycle.
  • Gas valve failure. Years of winter cycling wear the Williams gas valve until it stops opening on a call for heat. I confirm the thermostat and limit are passing power, test the valve, and replace it with the correct Williams-spec valve set to proper manifold pressure for steady operation.
  • ADU wall furnace install and sizing. In San Ramon's garage and ADU conversions a wall furnace is often the right heat where ducts will not fit. I size the Williams unit to the actual space rather than oversizing, set the gas pressure, and confirm the venting clears properly for safe combustion.

FAQ

Williams in San Ramon questions, answered.

  • You are based in San Ramon, so how fast can you get to me here?
Very fast, since this is home. Most San Ramon addresses are 10 to 20 minutes for me, and I cover Danville, Alamo, Dublin, and Pleasanton right alongside. For a no-heat call in San Ramon I can often come same or next day.
  • My San Ramon home is newer, why would it have a Williams wall furnace?
Most of San Ramon is central air, so the wall furnaces here are usually in older pockets, ADUs, or garage conversions where ducts do not fit. If your main house has central heat we service that through Bay Area HVAC Service too. For the standalone wall unit, a Williams is a correct fit.
  • What is the diagnostic fee?
The diagnostic is $75 and I waive it with the repair. You get a written quote before any work. Repairs are warranted 1 year, and a new Williams install carries 10 year parts and 10 year labor.
