Most of the U-Line calls I get in East Palo Alto come out of the newer townhome and condo development near the bay, where builder kitchens include a beverage center or wine unit under the island as standard. The older ranch-style homes in the established neighborhoods further from University Avenue tend to have a single beverage center added during a later remodel rather than at construction.

Newer builder-grade U-Line units tend to show fan motor and thermistor issues earlier than the higher-end custom installs I see elsewhere, sometimes inside the first few years. I check those first on anything installed after 2015.

- Beverage center fan motor and thermistor. Warm bottles and audible fan noise, common on the newer builder-installed units in the bayfront developments. New motor and thermistor clear it.
- Undercounter ice maker water inlet valve. No ice or a slow harvest is usually the inlet valve and screen on these units. I swap both and check the line pressure before I leave.
- Wine reserve dual-zone thermal-electric module. One zone drifts off temperature while the other holds. Module swap, gasket reseat, and a full recalibration to close it out.
