Dublin runs hot in summer, sitting over the ridge from the bay where the marine cooling thins out. The town splits between older west-side neighborhoods and the large East Dublin subdivisions built in the 2000s and after. A Ruud furnace is a good fit for both, and we service the whole city, keeping the Rheem wear parts on the truck for the equipment we see most.
The newer East Dublin homes are two-story tract houses, many with zoned systems and equipment that is now aging past the ten-year mark. The older west-side homes have furnaces that are well past it. - Hot-surface ignitor cracking in East Dublin tract homes. The 2000s-era Ruud furnaces in East Dublin are now cracking their hot-surface ignitors from years of cycling. No glow, no heat. I carry the correct ignitor and confirm a clean light before I leave.
- Zone-damper faults in two-story subdivisions. When one floor of a Dublin two-story stays cold, it is usually a stuck zone damper or a zone-board relay, not the furnace. I test the dampers and board so you are not replacing working equipment.
- Draft-inducer failure on older west-side furnaces. Dublin's older west-side furnaces reach the age where the inducer bearings fail and the furnace cannot prove draft. I swap the Rheem inducer assembly in one visit so the heat comes back.
