Olympia Express in Berkeley
Olympia Express in Berkeley kitchens.
Berkeley combines small older counters with carefully rebuilt hill kitchens, but a Cremina can belong in either setting. Owners who choose it usually value direct lever feedback, while Maximatic owners want a serviceable pump machine rather than a sealed countertop appliance.
The $250 pickup deposit covers collection, bench diagnosis, and return delivery. It is not credited toward repair. Extra bench work is $150 per hour. Diagnostics may take up to a week, and most repairs take 3-4 weeks. Repair parts and labor carry a 6-month warranty; consumables carry 90 days.
I record the water source and recent plumbing history because scale and pipe debris leave different evidence.
