Nor-Lake walk-in service

A walk-in has an insulated enclosure and a refrigeration system. Nor-Lake manufactures walk-in coolers and freezers, but an installed room may use separately badged refrigeration equipment. When booking service, describe the door or panel issue and any temperature problem separately.

We inspect Nor-Lake walk-ins in the Bay Area, including door closure, seals and the condition of accessible panel joints. If the box is warming up, we also identify the evaporator, condensing unit and controls involved in cooling it.

Moisture around doors and penetrations

Water or ice near a panel seam is a location to investigate, not a complete diagnosis. Photograph where it starts and whether it is inside or outside the room. Wet insulation, an opening around pipework and a door that fails to seal can require different repairs.

For a door complaint, note whether it drags, rebounds or leaves a gap. The technician checks the hinge, closer and gasket together. Keep the inside release accessible and do not improvise a latch that could trap someone in the room.

An estimate for the actual fault

Tell us if shelving blocks the area that needs inspection and how the refrigeration equipment is reached. Existing manuals and previous repair notes help identify modifications. We quote the proposed repair after examining the equipment, with the work and price agreed before it starts.

The diagnostic is $99 per visit, including additional units diagnosed during that visit, and is credited toward the repair. Repair work starts after you approve the written price.
