Orinda runs smaller. The restaurants around the Orinda Theatre and the offices off Moraga Way in 94563 tend to run a Momento 100 or a Zenius rather than the bigger Aguila floor units. Lower volume, but the same scale and brew-head wear show up because the machine sits on a plumbed line.

From San Ramon we are over the hill in about 20 minutes through the tunnel, so Orinda is one of our closer calls. That short drive matters when a cafe near the BART plaza loses its machine in the middle of a Saturday.

Descaling and water filtration. Orinda water and a low-volume machine is a recipe for scale buildup. We descale the boiler or thermoblock and check the inline filter so the brew head stays clear.
Brew head service. On a Momento or Zenius the brewing head and piston need periodic seal work. We rebuild it and check the capsule-handling mechanism for clean piercing and ejection.
Water and air valve repair. Inconsistent fill or a sputtering pour points to the water or air valves. We clean or replace them and confirm pressure before we close up.
Pump and pressure check. A weak shot on a lightly used machine often means a tired pump or a clogged line. We test under load and fix the actual cause.
