Brew head wear from commuter-hour volume. Offices that get hit hard for twenty minutes before everyone heads to BART put steady wear on the brew head and piston. I rebuild the head and reseat the piston so the shot pulls full again instead of running thin.
Control board corrosion from marine layer humidity. Daly City's fog sits heavier and longer than in most Peninsula towns, and it gets into break rooms with weak ventilation. I clean corrosion off the board connectors and check the ribbon cable before I say a board needs replacing.
Capsule mechanism jams on Momento units. Momento machines in smaller offices jam at the capsule mechanism when nobody clears a stuck pod right away. I clear the handling path and check the ejector so it stops jamming on the next pod.
