- Clogged Defrost Drain on KF Bottom-Freezer Columns. Even in Dublin's newer homes, the KF column's defrost drain clogs the same way it does in an older house, with ice chips or debris blocking the tube. Defrost water backs up, freezes under the drawers, thaws, and shows up somewhere that looks unrelated to the fridge, like a puddle at the base of a nearby cabinet. I trace the drain, clear it, and check that the defrost heater and timer are cycling before closing the column back up.
- G Series Dishwasher Drain Pump, Inlet Valve, and Control Faults. Dublin's G Series dishwashers fail in the same three spots we see across the Tri-Valley: a drain pump that seizes or clogs and leaves standing water at the end of the cycle, an inlet or aquastop valve that fails and either won't fill or trips the flood safety pan, or a control fault posting a code. I pull the code first and order the specific part instead of guessing.
- MasterCool Column Airflow Restriction and Compressor Overload. Because so much of Dublin's stock is new construction, this is actually the most common column issue we run into here. A builder boxes the MasterCool column into a cabinet run without giving it the vent clearance Miele calls for, and the condenser can't shed heat. The compressor runs long, overheats, and trips the overload protector or short-cycles. I check the venting before touching the sealed system, since replacing the compressor without fixing the airflow just repeats the failure.
