The unit runs hot for its entire service life, and every component inside ages faster because of it. When I service a built-in on one of these Mountain Home Road or Kings Mountain Road properties, I check the ventilation path first, because replacing parts into a bad install just schedules the next failure.

Heat-stressed components in tight cabinetry. Starved airflow in a built-in Woodside install cooks the start relay, fan motor, and compressor years early. I measure the actual temperature the unit sees inside the cabinet, fix the failed part, and tell you honestly whether a vent grille or spacer kit is what actually stops the cycle. A $40 louver has spared more than one $900 compressor on these jobs.
Conductivity probe faults on filtered estate water systems. A lot of these estates layer a softener and fine filtration on top of already-soft municipal water, and the Manitowoc thickness probe needs some mineral content to read correctly. The result is long freeze faults on a machine that is otherwise fine. I adjust the feed water setup so the probe reads right without hurting the clarity of the ice.
Harvest failures on undercounter NEO units. When cubes bridge into a sheet that will not drop in a pool house bar unit, the harvest valve and a scaled evaporator are the usual suspects, in that order. Access on the compact NEO platform is tight, and I have seen these damaged by a tech forcing a panel. I open them in the sequence the factory seminar taught.
