Our Victoria by the Bay kitchen has a Liebherr from the early 2000s. Is it too old to repair?

The BioFresh drawer threw a fault right after we cleaned it. Did we break something?

Probably not. A drawer put back a few millimeters off its rail, or a seal that is not seated, will trip the fault. Take the drawer out, seat it fully and close it firmly. If the fault stays, the sensor or a switch needs testing.

If a drawer sits slightly off its rail, the control reads that as a sensor fault. So we check the rail and the drawer seal before the board. BioFresh drawer too wet or drying produce out. When the humidity zone stops doing its job, the fault is usually the drawer seal, the humidity sensor or a switch that thinks the drawer is open. We test the sensor against a reference, check each position switch, and replace the seal if it has hardened or split.
Water collecting under the crisper drawers. Defrost water runs off the evaporator to a drain that clogs with the debris every refrigerator collects. When it backs up, water pools under the drawers or freezes into a sheet on the back wall. We clear the drain, check the drain heater where one is fitted, and watch a defrost cycle finish.
Wine cabinet fan getting louder. A rattle or rising whine from a Liebherr wine cabinet usually points to the evaporator fan or the condenser fan motor wearing out. We identify which one by ear and by current draw, then replace it before a slowed fan lets a zone drift warm.
