Direct-drive top-loader that will not agitate. If the basket spins but the wash never agitates, the clutch shifter is the first suspect, not the motor. We test the rotor, the stator and the shifter at the connector and quote the part that failed.
Front-loader leaving water in the drum. We check the pump filter for lint and small items, test the drain pump, and look at the hose and standpipe. A pump that hums without moving water gets replaced.
