First ice after a quiet month tastes stale and comes out cloudy. We do a full teardown clean, descale, and sanitize, and I will show you how to shut the unit down properly if it will sit more than a few weeks.
- Bin control thermostat misreading in built-in installs. Cabinet-built installs in Hillsborough kitchens sometimes pin the bin control where warm air pools, so the machine stops early with a half-full bin or overruns and bridges the ice.
