Deck beverage fridge gaskets cooked by western sun. Haier beverage units on west-facing Lafayette decks take brutal afternoon exposure, and the door gasket hardens within a few years. The unit runs constantly for mediocre cooling. A new gasket and condenser cleaning restore it, and I will flag it honestly if sun exposure has degraded the cabinet beyond a sensible repair.
Thermostat sticking on guest level compacts. Compact Haier fridges serving downstairs guest rooms freeze everything solid when the mechanical thermostat sticks closed. On electronic models the control board fails instead, with erratic swings. Both are modest parts, quoted in writing, and worth fixing on a unit that fits its alcove exactly.
