South San Francisco splits pretty cleanly into two halves. Down along Utah Avenue and Oyster Point it's industrial parks and biotech campuses. Up in Westborough and around Sign Hill it's residential, with a mix of older ranch homes and newer condo builds that went in for the biotech workforce. GE Profile is the common line in those condo kitchens, and I see Cafe ranges in a fair number of the nicer Westborough remodels.
A lot of the people I service here work rotating shifts at the campuses down the hill, so a vague morning-or-afternoon window doesn't work for their schedule. We give a written arrival window up front so it's something you can actually plan around, shift or not.
We treat South San Francisco as one stop on the same route as San Bruno, Daly City, and Millbrae, and neighboring Brisbane rides along too since it sits right against the border.

- Profile refrigerator defrost heater failure. The defrost heater stops cycling, frost builds up on the evaporator coil, and the fresh food side slowly warms even though the compressor is still running. Heater and defrost thermostat get replaced as a pair.
- Profile dishwasher recirculation pump leak. The pump seal wears and starts weeping into the base pan, which trips the float switch and shuts the unit down mid-cycle. We replace the pump, dry out the base pan, and clear the fault code.
- GE dryer control board won't start. Heavy laundry use across a shift-work household wears out the start relay on the control board faster than a typical family schedule. Dryer won't respond to the start button at all. Board gets replaced and tested through a full cycle.
