Most of the San Jose kitchens I run lean toward Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Fisher and Paykel, especially in Almaden Valley and the West Valley pocket near Cupertino. GE shows up steadier on the Evergreen side and in the secondary and rental kitchens across the Cambrian and Willow Glen remodels that kept their Profile suites.
On those units the failures are the standard GE pattern. Profile French-door fridges lose fresh-food cooling at the defrost system or stop making ice at the icemaker. Profile dishwashers in the GDP and PDT lines leak at the pump seal and shut down on a leak fault. When a kitchen runs a Monogram built-in next to the Sub-Zero in the bar area, I treat the Monogram separately. Its parts come from GE direct and the gaskets run slow.

- Profile fridge defrost and icemaker. Warm fresh food with a cold freezer points to the defrost system. No ice points to the icemaker. Both parts on the truck.
- Profile GDP / PDT dishwasher leak fault. Pump seal leak hits the float and the unit stops. Replace the pump, dry the pan, reset.
- GE front-load washer no-drain. Drain-pump impeller cracks or jams and the washer stops mid-cycle on a drain fault. I clear or replace the pump and check the line.
- Monogram built-in service. Door gasket runs about two weeks from GE direct. I order ahead so the visit to install is a single trip.
