- GE range igniter corrosion. Salt air degrades the ceramic igniter's contacts and the burner takes longer and longer to catch, or stops lighting altogether. Igniter assembly gets replaced and the burner tested for a clean light.
- Dishwasher lower rack and door hinge rust. The coating on the lower rack wears through at the weld points from years of salt-laced moisture, and the door hinge stiffens or squeaks. Rack replacement, hinge lubrication or swap depending on condition.
- Dryer exterior vent flapper seizure. Salt residue builds on the flapper hinge outside the house and it stops opening freely, which backs pressure into the dryer and trips the thermal fuse. We free or replace the flapper and clear the fuse.
