That dampness shows up in the dryer vent runs. A lot of these houses and the duplexes near Mission Street have short, tight venting with a few too many elbows, and lint holds moisture longer in this air than it would somewhere drier inland. I've pulled thermal fuses on GE Adora dryers that tripped from heat buildup in a vent that looked fine from the outside.

- Adora dryer thermal fuse trip. Heat backs up in a restricted or overly long vent run and the thermal fuse blows to protect the motor. Dryer runs but stays cold. If the vent run is choked we say so and point you to a vent cleaning service, that is not a trade we perform; a new fuse without airflow just blows again.
- Profile icemaker auger motor stall. The auger that pushes ice out of the mold seizes after enough freeze-thaw cycles. Bin fills with a solid clump or stops making ice at all. Auger motor and assembly get replaced together.
- Adora dishwasher door latch switch. The latch switch wears out and the dishwasher cuts power mid-cycle, thinking the door popped open. We swap the switch and confirm the door seats and the cycle runs to completion.
