- Induction zone shows a fault or will not heat. On the Profile PHP900 and PHP960 and the Monogram ZHU30 and ZHU36, one dead zone usually points to the generator board for that side. We pull the cooktop, clear the cooling path and read the board temperature before ordering a board, because dust and a blocked vent can make a good part look bad.
- Cafe or Monogram burner clicks but will not light. Cafe and Monogram ranges share a number of parts, but Monogram uses its own burner igniters, which we order for the job. On either range we check for a cracked or wet igniter, a burner cap sitting off center, and a weak spark module before replacing anything.
- Monogram built-in door not sealing. A torn or flattened gasket lets warm air in, and the fridge frosts up and runs without stopping. Monogram parts come straight from GE, and a door gasket can take two weeks to arrive. We measure and order at the diagnosis, then return to fit it and check the door alignment.

My Profile induction cooktop will not recognize a pan. Is it broken?
Usually not. Induction needs a pan with a magnetic base that covers enough of the zone. Hold a magnet to the bottom: if it does not grab firmly, the pan is the problem. If a good pan still fails on one zone, that is when we test the board. -
Is a Cafe range in an older El Sobrante ranch house worth repairing?
Yes. Cafe and Monogram ranges are built well enough, and parts are available, so a sensor, igniter or board repair makes sense. A base GE range is different: the repair rarely beats a new one, and we tell you that at the diagnosis. -
