- Icemaker or drain issue on a flatlands unit. In the apartment-heavy South and West Berkeley calls, the everyday Frigidaire issue is a jammed icemaker or a clogged drain, the same as the GE and Bosch units nearby. Cheap fix if that's genuinely all it is.
- Standard top-freezer or side-by-side: not a repair we take. Common in flatland rentals, and it's the one we don't take on. A compressor or board repair on this class of unit routinely costs more than the fridge is worth new. We say so before opening a panel, not after.
