Chirping or rattling from the freezer. A noise that stops when you open the freezer door usually comes from the evaporator fan. Ice on the blade or a worn motor bearing causes it. We check for frost around the fan, test the defrost system if ice is the cause, and replace the fan motor if it is worn.
