The mid-century modern houses near Ladera started with single-wall ovens and cooktops, and when a Bertazzoni wall oven replaces one of those originals, it has to fit a cutout designed for something else.

PG&E public-safety shutoffs reach the outer roads here, and they affect a gas range more than people expect. The oven igniter, the burner spark and the control board all need power, so during an outage the oven will not light at all. When power comes back, a surge or a hard restart can leave a board confused or damaged. Our technician checks the supply and resets the controls before blaming a part. The $99 diagnostic is credited toward the repair, and you approve a written quote first.

Oven dead or erratic after a power shutoff. We start by checking the outlet or circuit and resetting the controls, since some ovens only need a clean restart. If the display stays blank or the oven will not heat, we test the board inputs, the thermal cutoff and the relays, and replace only the part that failed.
Wall oven shutting off in an older cutout. A newer wall oven set into an original mid-century opening can run short on air around its sides and back. The thermal cutoff then trips and ends the bake early. We check the fit and the airflow gaps, test the cooling fan and the cutoff, and correct whichever one caused it.
Cooktop burner that sparks but will not catch. A cracked porcelain electrode or a cap knocked out of line leaves the spark jumping to the wrong spot. We reseat the cap, clean and re-gap the electrode, and test the spark module at that burner before ordering an electrode.
