Atosa uses R290 propane refrigerant in this lineup, and opening the sealed system takes a hydrocarbon refrigerant license, separate from standard EPA 608. If your guy doesn't hold that license, he legally can't crack the case, even with the part in hand. I'm licensed for it.

It's a dense run of restaurants packed close together, and that density means a busy line pushes an Atosa prep table or reach-in a lot harder than the same unit would see in a quieter town. High covers count, fast turnover, doors swinging all shift.

That volume shows up in two places. Prep table drain lines clog faster here because more food is moving across the rail every service, and the condensate tube backs up with crumbs and grease sooner than it would in a slower kitchen. Reach-in doors take a beating too. The hinges and self-closers sag under constant swinging, the door stops sealing flush, and the box starts icing even with a gasket that still looks fine.

Atosa's platform runs R290 propane refrigerant, so any work past the door and hinges, into the sealed system, needs a hydrocarbon-licensed tech. I carry that license. A lot of general repair shops on the Peninsula don't, and that's usually the real reason a unit sits down for a week.

MGF prep-table drain-line clog. High-volume lines clog the drain tube faster than a quieter kitchen. We pull the line, clear it, and fit an inline screen where the setup allows it.
Reach-in door hinge and self-closer adjustment. Constant swinging sags the hinges and the self-closer, and the door stops sealing flush even with a decent gasket. We adjust or replace the hardware and recheck the seal.
Evaporator fan motor replacement. A common fail point on the reach-ins under heavy daily use. We carry the standard sizes on the truck for a same-visit swap.
