Every fridge with a dispenser or ice maker has a water inlet valve. The fittings can leak under the cabinet, or the solenoid fails and the dispenser and ice maker stop getting water.

Common repairs we handle.

Slow fill from a scaled inlet valve screen. Hard water leaves mineral grit in the screens where the hoses meet the valve. The washer hums, trickles and sits. We pull the hoses, clean or replace the screens, and measure the valve coils. If a coil reads open or the valve body is crusted inside, we replace the valve and run a fill test on hot and cold.
Lid lock that clicks but never latches. Newer Amana top-loaders lock the lid before they spin. When the lock fails, the washer fills, flashes a code and stops. We test the lock and its switch against the control, look for a cracked lid strike, and replace the lock assembly if it fails.
Electric dryer that tumbles but stays cold. Start at the breaker: an electric dryer can lose one leg of its 240-volt supply and still spin with no heat. If power is fine, we test the thermal fuse, the heating element and the high-limit thermostat. A blown fuse usually means an airflow problem, so we check the lint path and the vent connection before closing the cabinet.
