Scope of work
What we do. What we fix.
What we do
A replacement system is the most expensive HVAC decision a homeowner makes, and the one most likely to be sold on fear and a round number. We do it differently. We size the system to the house with a Manual J load calculation, we pull the permit, we install to code and to Title 24, and we give you a written quote you can read before you sign anything.
Oversizing is the most common installation mistake in the Bay Area, and it is not in the contractor’s interest to admit it. A system too big for the house short-cycles, never dehumidifies, wears out early, and costs more up front. We size to the actual load, not to the square footage on a napkin.
A Heat Pump Replacement, Start to Finish
What we install
- Heat pumps. The system the Bay Area and California incentives are pushing toward. One unit for heating and cooling, high efficiency, and electrification-ready. We size, install, and commission with the charge weighed to spec.
- Gas and electric furnaces. When a customer is keeping gas heat, we install a properly sized, sealed-combustion furnace and verify the venting and combustion air.
- Air handlers and coils. Matched to the outdoor unit. A mismatched coil kills the efficiency you paid for, so we install matched systems.
- Ductless mini-splits. Single and multi-zone, for additions, ADUs, and homes without ductwork. Mitsubishi and Daikin are our go-to lines.
How we quote
We measure the home, run the load calculation, and look at your existing ducts and electrical before we give a number. The quote is written, itemized, and good as written. No “today only” pricing, no scare tactics about your old system, no commissioned salesperson. If the honest answer is that a repair buys you a few more years, we will say so.
Permits, Title 24, and rebates
California requires a permit and Title 24 compliance documentation on system changeouts. We pull the permit and handle the documentation. We also point you to the heat-pump rebates and incentives you qualify for, because leaving that money on the table is common and avoidable.
