Williams in San Bruno
Williams in San Bruno kitchens.
San Bruno sits in the shadow of San Bruno Mountain, and neighborhoods like Crestmoor and Rollingwood were built up through the 1950s and 60s with the same kind of Williams wall furnace you still find running in a hallway or back bedroom today.
Wind funnels down off the mountain and fog rolls in off the bay, so these furnaces work through a lot of temperature swings in a single day. That is hard on a thermocouple and gas valve that are already decades old.
From San Bruno we also reach South San Francisco and Millbrae without adding a separate trip. ADRIUM is licensed through Bay Area HVAC Service, CSLB and EPA 608 certified, based in San Ramon. Diagnostics run $99 and that comes off the bill if you book the repair, with a written quote every time.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Pilot won't hold in a Crestmoor hillside home. Wind off San Bruno Mountain can disturb draft on an older wall furnace vent, and combined with a tired thermocouple, the pilot drops as soon as I let go of the knob. I check the draft path and replace the thermocouple.
- Gas valve failing to open after years of service. On the original units in the Rollingwood and Portola Highlands tracts, the valve solenoid wears out and the burner never lights even with a strong pilot. I test the valve and safety switch and swap in the correct replacement.
- Cracked heat exchanger on an aging unit. San Bruno has a lot of furnaces original to homes from the 1950s and 60s. When I find a cracked heat exchanger I shut the unit off on the spot for safety and give you a written quote for a new one rather than run any risk.

FAQ
Williams in San Bruno questions, answered.
-
Do you cover Millbrae from San Bruno
Yes, Millbrae and South San Francisco are right next door and we take calls there on the same route. -
Planes fly low right over San Bruno near the airport. Does that affect the furnace
No, aircraft noise doesn't touch how the furnace runs. What does affect it is age and the wind off San Bruno Mountain working on an old vent seal, which is what I check first. -
How fast can you get to San Bruno for a no-heat call
We keep a technician based on the Peninsula in San Mateo County, so San Bruno is a shorter trip than sending someone from San Ramon. We don't promise same-day, but we'll give you a straight answer on timing when you call.
