Victory in Pinole
Victory commercial service.
Pinole's shopping runs along Fitzgerald Drive and through the Pinole Vista Shopping Center, while Old Town still keeps much of its turn-of-the-century building stock. A restaurant in either place leans hard on its tall uprights, and a two- or three-door Victory reach-in in a busy kitchen gets opened constantly from prep to close.
Many uprights carry the condensing unit on top, right where the hottest air in the kitchen collects. That coil draws in grease and dust, pressures rise and the box drifts warm during the dinner push. Pinole calls go to our technician in Benicia. We start with a $99 diagnostic that is credited toward the repair, and no work begins until you have our quote in writing.
Common repairs we handle.
- Top-mount condenser clogged with grease and dust. A coil on top of a reach-in is out of sight, so it gets missed. Once it mats over, the compressor runs hotter and longer and the cabinet stops recovering between door openings. We clean the coil, check the condenser fan motor and look at the space above the unit, since a low ceiling or a shelf of boxes traps the heat.
- Self-closing hinge worn on a three-door upright. A door that no longer swings shut on its own leaks cold air all shift. We replace the hinge cartridge or closer, adjust the door so the gasket meets the frame evenly, and test the door switch that stops the evaporator fan and turns on the light.
- Evaporator fan squealing or stopped. A fan that squeals, ticks or quits leaves one section warm while another still holds. We replace the motor, check the blade for ice contact and watch a defrost cycle, because a coil that never clears can stall a perfectly good fan.

FAQ
Victory in Pinole questions, answered.
-
Our three-door Victory holds temperature at night but not during dinner. What's going on?
That pattern points to recovery: the box cannot pull back down between door openings. A dirty condenser, a slow evaporator fan or a door that hangs open are the likely suspects, and we check them in that order before we look at refrigerant. -
Can our staff clean the condenser on top of the reach-in?
Yes, with the unit unplugged, using a stiff brush and a vacuum and working along the fins, not across them. If the coil is caked with grease, leave it to us, because the wrong degreaser can eat the fins. -
How do we know when the gaskets on our reach-in need replacing?
Replace a gasket when it tears, hardens or fails the dollar-bill test: close the door on a bill and pull it out, and if it slides free with no drag, that spot leaks. We carry common Victory gaskets and order the rest matched to your model.
