Hayward is a laundry town for us. The flats through Fairway Park, Mt Eden, Tennyson, and the Southland area across 94541, 94542, 94544, and 94545 run mainstream stock, and a lot of those laundry rooms are Samsung. The dual-flex and FlexWash washers are the ones that bring us out. The recurring failure is a cracked drain-pump impeller on the upper unit. Often something hard gets past the filter and chews it up.

The FlexWash lower compact washer runs its own drain pump and we check it while we are in there. On the refrigeration side the Hayward Samsung fridges fail the same way they do everywhere. RF-series icemakers over-freeze and stop dropping cubes. Up in the Hayward Hills above the CSU campus the stock runs newer and adds Family Hub screens and FlexZone four-door units to the mix, but down in the flats it is laundry and icemakers that keep us busy.

RF-series icemaker rebuild. Over-freezing on the French-door icemaker. We pull the module, replace the board and drain heater, re-clip, and silicone the compartment back up so the moisture stops re-icing it.
Dryer heating element and thermal fuse. No-heat or no-start on a Samsung dryer. Element, thermal fuse, and a vent check. One visit.
