Gaskets and cabinet condition

A split lower gasket can be easy to miss when the freezer door is shut. The inspection includes the seal around the whole opening, hinge alignment and whether the door reaches the frame without an obstruction. A new gasket will not correct a bent door or damaged mounting channel.
