Eichler head install losing capacity in summer. Eichlers have a lot of glass and flat roofs, so a head can fall behind on a hot afternoon. We check charge, line length correction, and the coil. Often it is charge on a long exposed-beam line run.
One zone down on an MXZ multi-zone. A single dead room with the others working is that head's board or thermistor, not the outdoor unit. We read the blink code and replace the part at the head.
Condensate pump failure on a flat-roof routing. When a head cannot gravity-drain on an Eichler, it uses a condensate pump. A failed pump shows as a drip or float shutdown. We test and replace the pump and confirm the float switch.
