We cross on the Dumbarton and come up through the Palo Alto side, roughly 55 to 65 minutes depending on the hour. Los Altos Hills rides with our Peninsula and South Bay days alongside Palo Alto, Saratoga, and Los Gatos, and gate codes or long driveways are no problem if you tell us in advance.

We are on well water. Does that void anything or change the service?

It does not void our work, and repairs still carry the 1-year warranty. It does change maintenance. Well water usually needs real filtration ahead of the machine and a shorter descaling interval, and we will give you specific numbers after we see your water.

What we close on the truck.

Evaporator scale from well water. Hard well water plates the evaporator with mineral scale, ice sticks during harvest, and production falls month by month. We descale with the chemistry Manitowoc specifies, inspect the plating for damage, and size a filtration setup matched to your actual water test rather than a generic cartridge.
Compressor start relay and capacitor failures after power events. Brownouts and outage recoveries hammer start components. A failing relay gives you a machine that hums, clicks, and trips its overload instead of starting. We test the relay, capacitor, and compressor windings separately, because a healthy compressor with a $30 relay problem should never be condemned.
Slow water fill from long supply runs. Estate installs sometimes feed the ice machine through long, undersized lines from a distant manifold. Fill times stretch, the controller times out, and the fault looks like a valve failure when it is really plumbing. We measure pressure and flow at the machine before touching a part.
