Condenser fan motor failure. On air-cooled Manitowoc heads the fan motor runs whenever the compressor does, and in a hot kitchen it runs at the edge of its temperature rating. Bearings dry out, the motor slows or stops, and head pressure climbs until the machine cuts out. We replace the motor and blade as a set when the blade shows fatigue, and confirm the amp draw afterward.
Scaled ice thickness probe misreading the bridge. Scale on the thickness probe insulates it from the water, so the controller cannot tell when the ice bridge has formed. Cycles stretch, ice grows too thick, and harvests start sticking. Cleaning the probe is easy, but we also correct the water treatment so it does not scale again in six weeks.
Hot gas valve not fully opening during harvest. A partially failed hot gas valve gives you harvests that almost work. The slab releases late, the machine logs long harvest events, and production quietly drops 20 percent. The Indigo NXT diagnostic history makes this pattern visible, and we confirm with temperature measurements at the valve before replacing it.
