Why does our QuietQube make less ice on hot days?

A roof-mounted condenser sits in full sun, and the head-pressure regulator has to hold steady through that heat. A drifting regulator or a dirty condenser coil lets production fall off in the warmest hours. We test both and take readings at the hottest part of the day.

Is a QuietQube or a self-contained Manitowoc better for our space?

It depends on the room. A self-contained Indigo NXT is simpler and needs good airflow around it. A QuietQube keeps heat and compressor noise out of the room but needs a roof or outdoor spot and a longer refrigerant run. If you are replacing a machine, we lay out both in the written quote.

Common repairs we handle.

QuietQube head-pressure regulator drifting on the roof. The head-pressure regulator on a roof-mounted condenser works through the daily swing from warm afternoons to cool evenings. When it drifts, freeze and harvest cycles go wrong and production drops. We pressure-test the system, replace the regulator if it is drifting, and check head pressure again when the roof is at its warmest.
Refrigerant leak on the run between roof and head. A QuietQube has refrigerant lines running from the roof down to the ice machine. A leak anywhere along that run shows up as long cycles and falling production. We find the leak, repair it, pull a vacuum and weigh in the charge. ADRIUM holds EPA 608 Universal certification for that refrigerant work.
Ice machine head faulting on water or harvest. Below the roof, the head still has the usual Manitowoc parts: water pump, inlet valve, harvest valve and curtain switch. EBMUD water is soft to moderate, so scale builds slowly, but the water system still needs cleaning and sanitizing. We test each part against the fault code before replacing anything.
