LED light dark in the refrigerator section. When the interior light fails, the cause may be the LED module, its connector or the door switch that tells the control the door is open. That same switch runs the door alarm and often pauses the fan, so we test it first. Then we replace the module or the switch, whichever one failed.
Buttons on the display no longer responding. A touch display that ignores presses, or answers only some of them, may have a failed membrane, moisture behind the panel or a control that has locked up. We try a proper power reset, check the ribbon connector and test the display board before ordering a replacement.
Evaporator packed with ice after a door was left open. A door left slightly open overnight floods the freezer with moist air, and the evaporator can ice over faster than a normal defrost clears it. The fan then stalls in the ice and cooling drops off. We melt the coil fully, make sure the fan runs free and test the defrost heater and sensor.
