Liebherr in East Palo Alto

Liebherr in East Palo Alto kitchens.

East Palo Alto is mostly apartments and older single-family rentals, with newer mixed-use buildings going up near University Avenue. A Liebherr here could be a freestanding freezer in a rental house or a wine cabinet in one of the newer units. In a rental, the first question is practical: who owns the appliance, and who signs off on the repair.

We work with owners, tenants and property managers alike. The diagnostic is $99, credited toward the repair, and the written quote goes to whoever approves the work before anything is ordered. Our technician checks the simple causes first, the outlet, the leveling, the door seal and the fans, since a Liebherr that has been moved between homes can pick up faults on the way. We are licensed under CSLB #1136642.

Common repairs we do

Common repairs we handle.

  • Freezer not getting cold after a move. A freezer carried on its side should stand upright for several hours before it is switched on. One that was moved and now runs without freezing may also have a kinked line at the back or a loose connection. We check those, then measure the temperatures and the compressor draw before calling it a sealed-system problem.
  • Door drifting open on a floor that has settled. Older floors settle, and a Liebherr that leans forward even slightly lets its door drift open. A door that sits a finger's width off the seal frosts the freezer and warms the fridge. We set the leveling feet so the cabinet leans back a little, then check the gasket and the door closer.
  • Compressor clicking but never starting. A click, a pause and another click, with the compressor never getting going, points to the start relay or overload, or to low voltage at the outlet. We measure the voltage while the compressor tries to start, test the start components and only then look at the compressor itself.

FAQ

Liebherr in East Palo Alto questions, answered.

  • We rent near University Avenue. Can we book the Liebherr repair, or does the landlord have to?
Either of you can book the visit. If the owner is paying, we send the written quote to them and wait for their approval before any work starts, so no one is surprised by the bill.
  • The Liebherr freezer in our Woodland apartment hums louder than it used to. Is it failing?
Not necessarily. A louder hum can come from a condenser fan with a worn bearing, a drip tray rattling against the frame, or the cabinet touching a wall. We listen for which one it is and test the fan before looking at anything bigger.
  • The Liebherr in our Gardens house trips the breaker. Is it the fridge or the wiring?
It can be either. A shorted defrost heater or a failing compressor will trip a breaker, but so will a shared circuit or a worn outlet. We test the outlet and the circuit first, then check the fridge's own parts with a meter so you know which side the fault is on.
