Salt-air corrosion on the SL/XC outdoor coil. Island air carries salt. On Lennox SL and XC condensers near the shoreline we find coil corrosion and pinhole refrigerant leaks earlier than inland. I locate the leak, recover the charge under EPA 608 rules, and we talk honestly about coil replacement versus a new condenser based on age.
Variable-speed blower motor module failure. Lennox variable-speed air handlers use a motor and module that fail as a pair. When the blower ramps wrong or stops, the part is proprietary and can take a few days to land. I confirm it is the module and not just a capacitor before we order, so you are not paying for the slow part twice.
