We clean the coil, replace worn start components and the fan motor if needed, and measure how the compressor handles the load afterward.
Frozen-food display case icing at the doors. Ice building around the doors of a display case points to door heaters that failed or gaskets that stopped sealing. Frost then spreads to the coil and the case warms. We test the heater circuits, replace the heater or gasket, and defrost the coil fully before restarting.
Restricted metering device starving the coil. When only part of the evaporator frosts and the rest stays warm, refrigerant may not be feeding the coil properly. A restriction at the capillary tube or expansion valve, or moisture in the system, can cause it. We confirm it with pressures and temperatures, then repair the sealed system under ADRIUM's EPA 608 Universal certification.
