In my experience, yes, especially anything with exposed metal near the coast, condenser coils and door hardware take it the hardest. I'll tell you straight if a repair makes sense or if the corrosion has gone past that point.

Half Moon Bay is the anchor for the whole Coastside, and I cover Montara, Moss Beach, and El Granada on the same trip when I'm out there. The housing runs coastal ranch and farmhouse style close to Main Street and downtown, plus newer development further out toward Pillar Ridge, and the Jenn-Air units I see are usually French-door refrigerators bought in a kitchen remodel that also touched the range and hood.

Salt air off the ocean is what makes Coastside appliance repair different from what I see inland. It gets into door hinges, condenser coils, and any exposed steel, and I see corrosion and pitting out here on units that would still look new in San Ramon or Danville. A five-year-old Jenn-Air on the coast can show the same wear as a ten-year-old unit further inland.

What we close on the truck.

Condenser coil corrosion from salt air. Coils clogged or pitted from ocean air don't shed heat right, so the fridge runs constantly and still underperforms. I clean or recommend replacement depending on how far the corrosion has gone.
Door hinge and seal failure from salt exposure. Metal hinges and gasket channels corrode faster this close to the water. A door that used to close solid starts sagging or won't seal, sooner than I'd expect on the same unit inland.
Icemaker and water line issues. Same failure as anywhere, slow ice or none, a fill valve or line problem versus the icemaker assembly itself, but I check the water line connections for corrosion first out here since that's often the actual cause.
