Our cuber runs nonstop but the bin stays empty. What failed?
Most likely the harvest. A hot-gas valve stuck open or closed stops the release of ice while the compressor keeps running. A failed thermistor can cause something similar. We test both before any part is ordered. Power-cycling the machine will not free a stuck valve, so switch it off and call rather than resetting it all day. -
Is an aftermarket hot-gas valve good enough?
Not on these units. Aftermarket coils do not hold up on KM cubers, and a second failure costs more than the OEM part would have. We quote the OEM valve or coil. -
