- Scaled evaporator plate producing thin, cloudy crescents. Mineral scale on the KM evaporator plate insulates it, so freeze cycles stretch out and the crescents come off thin and cloudy. Production drops well before the machine throws a code. We do a full nickel-safe descale of the plate, water pump, and distribution tubes, then verify cycle times against spec.
- Float switch stuck from mineral buildup. The KM dual float switch sits in the reservoir and collects scale until it sticks.
