I test at the board with a meter and quote the exact part before ordering it.
Evaporator fan motors iced over in overloaded freezers. Families buying in bulk pack a garage chest freezer tight enough to block the air vents, and the evaporator fan motor ices over from the restricted airflow. One side of the freezer runs cold, the other runs warm, and food near the door starts to soften first. Clearing the ice and freeing the vents usually restores even cooling, and I check the fan motor bearing while it is exposed.
