- Indoor head sensor causing wrong room temperature. A Daikin wall head in a Los Altos ranch that runs too hot or cold usually has a drifted indoor coil thermistor, sometimes an A1 code. I meter the thermistor against spec and replace it so the head holds the room where you set it.
- Condensate line clog in a low ceiling run. Shallow ranch ceilings leave little slope for the mini-split drain, so it clogs and trips the Daikin float with an A5. I clear and re-slope the condensate line so it drains by gravity and stops shutting the head off.
- Outdoor inverter board fault. An L4 or L5 inverter fault on a Los Altos Daikin condenser can be the board, the compressor, or the fan drive. I test each separately so I replace the actual failed component, not the most expensive guess.
